01 - Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Unroll the pizza or crescent dough onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into 12 uniform strips, approximately 1/2 inch wide.
03 - Wrap each mozzarella stick with a single dough strip, ensuring slight overlaps to mimic 'monster' bandages. Pinch ends securely to seal. Place the wrapped sticks seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Brush each wrapped stick lightly with the beaten egg for a golden-brown finish during baking.
05 - Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, or until the dough achieves a deep golden hue and is thoroughly cooked.
06 - Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. While still warm, position olive slices or candy eyes at one end of each wrap to create the 'monster' eyes. Gently press olives into the cheese; use a small amount of ketchup as adhesive for candy eyes if needed.
07 - Present warm, accompanied by ketchup or marinara sauce for dipping.
