02 - 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
03 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
04 - 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 1 tablespoon milk
→ Decoration
09 - 1 cup white chocolate chips, for melting
10 - 24 large white marshmallows
11 - 72 mini chocolate chips
12 - 48 chocolate melts or chocolate disks for paw pads
# Directions:
01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
03 - In a large bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix until incorporated.
04 - Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Stir in milk to form dough.
05 - Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Flatten each slightly with your palm.
06 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges turn lightly golden. Transfer to wire racks and cool completely.
07 - Melt white chocolate chips in microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
08 - Spread a thin layer of melted white chocolate on each cooled cookie.
09 - Press one large marshmallow near bottom edge of each cookie to represent the paw pad. Place three mini chocolate chips above marshmallow to form toes and two chocolate melts on either side for side pads.
10 - Allow decorated cookies to set at room temperature or refrigerate briefly to firm up chocolate.
